Motto: Born to Rock, Forced to Work

By all accounts, I started singing before I could talk - and in some form or another, I’ve never stopped. In grade school and throughout high school, college, and for a few years after, I have always been in concert choirs, jazz choirs, and even some musical theater. And I received classical voice training while at the University of Puget Sound. But, despite a life-long burning desire to let my inner rocker chick out, it took me 45 years to actually do it and to find False Sense of Security. And I have Seattle music organizations Rain City Rock Camp and Band It to thank for it. I won’t bore you with the details here, but suffice to say that because of the bravery I found at rock camp, I fulfilled a life-long dream of fronting a “pop up” Def Leppard cover band through Band It! (To see my rock camp band Hot Bitch Congress, look us up on YouTube.) It was at the Lep show that FSS’s bassist Tyler saw me perform - and some months later asked me if I wanted to join the band. Turns out, it’s a perfect fit - and I can’t wait to rock out with you! Come out and see us - we’re a lot of fun. (And pretty freaking good too!)

And now, some random facts about me to round out this bio:

Day job: Attorney (don’t judge - I’m one of the good ones!)

Favorite band: Depeche Mode

Second favorite band: Def Leppard (duh!)

Biggest band challenge: Singing and playing tambo at the same time

Hometown: I’m a proud ‘Hamster

Tattoos: 4

When I’m not singing I’m: Playing tennis or hanging out with my husband and dogs (but also probably singing)
